ANNOTATION

A packet aimed at assisting those who wish to organize efficient and effective house meetings. NISGUA is an organization that works for increasing solidarity with the people of Guatemala, and, because of that, the issues and points raised in this manual frequently pertain to Guatemala. However, these issues may be viewed as outdated; being written in 1983 much has occurred both in the United States and in Guatemala (not to mention, between the two) in the 20+ years since. Importantly, the tools and skills outlined for house meetings are still valuable, despite slightly outdated content. The sections are color coded and tabbed and labelled as follows: Organizing Notes Checklist for Events Leaflets Demonstrations House Meetings Media The last few pages include an article from the "Waging Peace Conference" that took place at Harvard University on May 1-2, 1981. The article is written by Frank Dorman and titled "Some Concrete Suggestions For Local Organizations."
